Hiya Toys Debuts Leatherface Figure From 2003 Remake

by Thomas Tuna

Small but deadly.

Hiya Toys will unleash a new Leatherface Killing Mask 1/18-scale figure late this year that’s based on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the 2023 remake of the original 1974 Tobe Hooper classic. Check out the photos of the menacing figure--courtesy of Toyark–on this page.

The new collectible–standing a little over four inches tall–has 15 points of articulation, interchangeable hands, a sledgehammer, the familiar clothes and apron and (of course) a chainsaw that’s rusted just right. Priced at $19.99, Leatherface will be available during the fourth quarter.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre–directed by Marcus Nispel from a screenplay by Scott Kosar–stars Jessica Biel, Jonathan Tucker and Erica Leerhsen. The slasher follows a group of young adults traveling through rural Texas who (you guessed it) bump into Leatherface and his loving family.

This fifth entry in the film franchise–mostly panned by critics–earned $107 million at the box office on a budget of $9.5 million.
