Evil has a history…and it’s coming to Shudder.
A new horror/thriller pic, History of Evil, will start shooting this spring, as reported by Deadline, and will air as a Shudder Original. No debut date has yet been announced.
The film–written and directed by Iranian-American filmmaker Bo Mirhosseni (Lovely Day)–will star Stephanie Beatriz (In The Heights) and Paul Wesley (The Vampire Diaries), who will also serve as executive producers. XYZ Films and Two & Two Pictures are producing the movie.
Storyline details are scarce at this point, but a short synopsis reveals “a family on the run from a corrupt state who takes refuge in a safe house with an evil past–a terrifying last stop on a near-future Underground Railroad.”
Beatriz may be best known for her leading voice acting on the hit animated film Encanto, as well as her roles on In The Heights and Brooklyn Nine–Nine. Wesley has starred in The Vampire Diaries and Before I Disappear.
