Terrifier 3–yet another bloody entry in the popular slasher franchise–starts shooting in January with an eye towards a Halloween 2024 theatrical release, and a behind-the-scenes image of Art the Clown in Santa gear was dropped this week by writer/director Damien Leone. The next film in the horror trilogy–slated for the big screen Oct. 25, 2024–stars the returning David Howard Thornton as the unhinged (and deranged and maniacal) Art the Clown and Lauren LaVera as Sienna Shaw.
The upcoming movie will see Art “unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.” Silent night, unholy night.
Terrifier 2–a box office cash cow with more than $15 million pulled down on a budget of just $250,000–follows a resurrected Art chasing after Sienna and her kid brother Jonathan (Elliot Fullam) on Halloween night just one year after “mutilating sole survivor Victoria Heyes (Samantha Scaffidi) and then committing suicide when confronted by police.”
