Review by: Rob Caprilozzi

Publisher: Red 5 Comics

Writer: Scott Chitwood

Artist: Danny Luckert

Colors: Ivan Plascencia

Synopsis: When the barrier between our world and the spiritual realm is torn down, the entire earth becomes haunted. Now a lone survivor may hold the key to closing the barrier, but first she must run a gauntlet of ghosts in the most haunted city in the world.

Our Thoughts: Haunted features group trying to survive what the world has become. They are searching for an answer to make things as they once were. Food and water are hard to come by. People you don’t know can’t be trusted…..All this seems to be the perfect set-up for another zombie book…except for one thing, there are no zombies. The antagonists in Haunted are ghosts.

Scott Chitwood combines a solid concept with some good storytelling in this title from Red 5 Comics. We follow a girl, Sarah who is a person trying to survive in this haunted world. She comes across a few other people who may have an idea on how to make this world right. From there the adventure begins.

The artwork by Danny Luckert is nothing short of spectacular. The character designs add a great deal of realism to the book. My favorite though is how he conjures up the frightening looking ghosts.

Ivan Plascencia’s colors add a great deal to the book. He doesn’t use bright colors as the world of Haunted is bleak and scary.

Haunted will be making its debut soon from Red 5 Comics. Do yourself a favor and pick up this book.
