Hasbro has added to its Marvel Legends line with a new Ghost Rider figure that’s scheduled for release soon after Christmas. Check out the images of the fiery collectible–courtesy of Toyark–on this page.

In celebration of the Marvel Comics supernatural character’s 50th anniversary, this six-inch figure will get the retro-card treatment that includes such accessories as an alternate Johnny Blaze head, swap-out hands, flame effects and his Hellfire Chain. The figure also comes in 1990s Toy Biz-style packaging.

Pre-orders are now live at Entertainment Earth for $27.99. The release date has been set for next January.

The original Marvel Comics iteration of Ghost Rider and Johnny Blaze–created by editor Roy Thomas, writer Gary Friedrich and artist Mike Ploog–debuted in Marvel Spotlight No. 5 way back in 1972. The character graduated to his own series in 1973, with Jim Mooney handling the art chores on the first nine issues.

Stunt motorcyclist Blaze–after making a very bad deal with the devil–finds his flesh consumed by hellfire at night (or when around evil), with his head becoming a flaming skull. On his nightly excursions, he rides a fiery motorcycle and blasts hellfire from his skeletal hands.
