‘Hannibal’ Writer Attached to Upcoming ‘Friday the 13th’

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reported today that writer Nick Antosca (Hannibal, Believe) is now attached to write the upcoming ‘Friday the 13th’ film from Paramount. Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller are producing the latest version of the film.  David Bruckner (V/H/S) is directing the film, which will use a found-footage style format. This time around, the story will give an answer to why Jason Voorhees can’t be killed.  The first ‘Friday the 13th’ film, which spawned seven sequels during the 1980’s, was released in 1980 and starred Kevin Bacon.  The last version was released in 2009 by Warner Bros. and earned 91 million at the box office. The upcoming film has already been given the release date of May 13, 2016.
