Laurie and the Shape…20 years later.
Halloween H20 celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and Paramount Pictures is marking the occasion with a 4K Steelbook release that will be available Sept. 26.
The 1998 film–directed by Steve Miner from a screenplay by Robert Zappia and Matt Greenberg–stars Jamie Lee Curtis (of course), LL Cool J, Janet Leigh, Adam Arkin and Josh Hartnett. The seventh entry in the classic horror franchise, the movie serves as a direct sequel to 1981’s Halloween II.
In the pic, a post-traumatic Laurie Strode (Curtis) has faked her own death in order to go into hiding from Michael Myers–who finds her working at a private boarding school in California.
With some critics claiming Halloween H20 was the best of the sequels to that point, the film earned $75 million worldwide on a $17-million budget.
