Not only will John Carpenter’s horror film legacy grow this October with the release of Halloween Kills, but his influence on comic books will be felt as well.
John Carpenter’s Tales for a HalloweeNight Vol. 7 from Storm King Comics is scheduled to hit comic book shops Oct. 5, just 10 days before the premiere of the latest installment of the Halloween film franchise, as reported by comicbook.com. Check out the mind-bending cover on this page.
This horror anthology–that includes 13 “twisted tales of terror, tricks and treats,” according to the publisher–is the latest volume of illustrated stories curated by Carpenter himself.
This graphic novel–from writer, editor and producer Sandy King–brings together “the best storytellers from movies, novels and comics for another spine-tingling collection that will haunt you. Each story is a standalone surprise that captures the essence of the best night of the year.”
In addition to Carpenter and King, contributors to this volume include Jaime and Elena Carillo, Jan Duursema, Alec Worley, Ben Willsher, Mike Sizemore, Dave Kennedy, Andy Price, Tim Bradstreet and many more.
If this collection is anything like past anthologies, it should fly off the shelves. The third volume of John Carpenter’s Tales for a HalloweeNight was singled out as Horror News Network’s Best Horror Anthology in 2017.
