The monster of all monsters is being resurrected.
Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro is moving forward with his take on the legend of the Frankenstein monster at Netflix, according to a report on Deadline.
An impressive trio of actors–Andrew Garfield (Under the Banner of Heaven), Oscar Isaac (Moon Knight) and Mia Goth (Infinity Pool)–reportedly is in talks to star in the feature film. No formal offers have been made to the actors, but sources say they are interested in the project.
The movie reportedly is in the very early stages of development, with del Toro–who will sit in the director’s chair–still working on the script.
It’s not known if the film will be a period piece or set in modern times, nor is there any clue about who will play Dr. Frankenstein or the misunderstood monster. It is believed, though, that Goth will play the good doctor’s love interest.
