“Live or die…the choice is yours.”
Hot on the heels of the enigmatic poster for Saw X, the official (and very graphic) trailer for the next entry in the horror franchise is now here. Check out the video on this page.
The Twisted Pictures film–hitting the big screen Sept. 29–features the return of Tobin Bell’s John Kramer, and is told “from Kramer’s point of view, as opposed to the trap victims,” according to director Kevin Greutert. Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger handled the screenplay,
The feature–described as “the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s final games”–takes place between Saw and Saw II and follows Kramer as he goes to Mexico for an experimental procedure that may cure his cancer–a procedure that turns out to be a horrible scam.
Predictably, the vengeful serial killer then turns the table on the con artists–“using devious, deranged and ingenious traps.”
Bell is joined in the cast by Shawnee Smith (as Amanda Young)–alongside Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, Octavio Hinojosa, Synnove Macody Lund, Steven Brand and Michael Beach.
The original 2004 Saw–directed by James Wan from a screenplay by Leigh Whannell–stars Cary Elwes, Danny Glover, Monica Potter and Bell. The movie deals with the horror of the Jigsaw Killer, who tests his victims’ wills to survive by subjecting them to his own brand of deadly games.
