Steven Spielberg’s Jaws started the feeding frenzy (and screams of “Out of the water!”) back in 1975–and now another shark-infested film looks to carry on in its wake.
Great White–set to swim into theaters July 16–wants to double your summer fun (and shudders) with not one, but two, massive sharks out for blood, as reported by JoBlo.com. Check out the trailer on this page for a peek at the underwater mayhem.
The movie follows a group of plane crash survivors who find themselves adrift in a lifeboat hundreds of miles from the safety of shore. Somehow, they must stay alive–while being stalked by two great white sharks–until a rescue team can find them. Dinnertime!
The film–from director Martin Wilson and screenwriter Michael Boughen–stars Katrina Bowden (Scary Movie 5) as Kaz, Aaron Jakubenko (The Shannara Chronicles) as Charlie, Tatjana Marjanovic as Tracy, Kimie Tsukakoshi as Michelle, Tim Kano as Joji and Te Kohe Tuhaka as Benny.
Neal Kingston and Michael Robertson (The Reef) produced the feature, with Jack Christian (Black Water: Abyss) and Christopher Figg (the Hellraiser series) on board as executive producers.
