The Price We Pay–a new horror pic from Lionsgate–lands in theaters (and homes) next month, and a red band trailer has dropped to set the bloody stage. Check out the terrifying video on this page.
The feature–directed by Ryuhei Kitamura (The Midnight Meat Train) from a screenplay by Christopher Jolley (Remember Me)–hits the big screen and on-demand Jan. 13, 2023.
The film–rated R for “strong horror violence, gore and language”–is set after “an intense holdup at a pawn shop, when a woman is taken hostage by the thieves,” according to the synopsis.
Forced to take refuge at a remote farmhouse at night, the crooks discover “a secret dungeon with evidence of sadistic violence and, when ‘grandfather’ comes home, all hell breaks loose. Can the woman muster the courage to escape the fate that befalls the criminals?”
The cast includes Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild) and Stephen Dorff (Blade)–along with Gigi Zumbado, Tyler Sanders, Erika Ervin, Jesse Kinser, Sabina Mach, Vernon Wells and Tanner Zagarino.
