Grace Caroline Currey to Lead Reimagining of ‘The Breed’

This will make you rethink the phrase “dog is man’s best friend.”

Grace Caroline Currey and Page Kennedy have signed to on to star in a reimagining of The Breed, according to a report on Variety. The film centers around an eclectic group on a mission to search for abandoned dogs on a remote island – an expedition that ends in terror.

The Breed will be directed by Nathan and Griff Furst, who will also produce together through their Curmudgeon Films banner.

Currey, who’s probably best known for her Mary Bromfield in the Shazam! series, is known to horror fans for her roles in Annabelle: Creation and Fall.

Kennedy has appeared in Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood,  The Meg, and Meg 2: The Trench.

Released on January 5, 2007, The Breed was produced by Wes Craven and directed by Nicholas Mastandrea. It starred Michelle Rodrigues, Oliver Hudson, Taryn Manning, Eric Lively and Hill Harper.
