The battle lines are being drawn.
The sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Godzilla vs. Kong is set for a theatrical release in March 2024, and now fans know the official title and have a quick glimpse of the action to come. Check out the short clip on this page for a taste of the brewing war.
The much-anticipated Legendary Pictures sequel–now titled Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire–wrapped principal photography in Australia last year.
The film is directed by the returning Adam Wingard from a screenplay by Terry Rossio, Jeremy Slater and Simon Barrett. Plans are for the feature to undergo editing and special effects work throughout the year.
The cast includes Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Kaylee Hottle, Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, Alex Ferns and Rachel House.
The sequel reportedly follows up the original showdown between the two behemoths with a new adventure that pits them against “a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world that challenges their very existence,” according to the brief logline.
