You can’t tell the monsters without a scorecard.
Universal Pictures continues its impressive run of monster movies next year with an as-yet-untitled creature feature, and a new cast member joined the roster this week, according to a report on Deadline.
Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian) will add his talents to the likes of Melissa Barrera, Alisha Weir, Dan Stevens, Kevin Durand, Kathryn Newton, Angus Cloud and Will Catlett in the feature that’s slated for theaters April 19, 2024.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will direct the pic from a screenplay by Stephen Shields (with revisions from Guy Busick).
Storyline details have yet to be revealed, but the film reportedly will present “a unique take on legendary monster lore and a fresh direction for how to celebrate these classic characters.” Whatever that means.
