Full Trailer For ‘The Munsters’ Reveals September Release

by Thomas Tuna

Have you ever wondered how the daughter of an undead count wound up with a lummox like Herman Munster?

Well, apparently Rob Zombie has. And, come this September, he’s laying the story on the whole world.

The Munsters–Zombie’s full-color feature film remake of the short-lived ’60s TV series–is landing somewhere (that part is still up in the air) in September (stay tuned for the exact date).

And, to herald this news, the filmmaker/musician has dropped the first full trailer of this “greatest love story ever told.” Check out the clip on this page.

This PG-rated “origin story”–which wrapped production in Budapest earlier this month–is expected to hit either Peacock or Netflix, but no confirmation from Zombie has yet been forthcoming.

The film stars Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa, with original TV cast members Pat Priest returning in an unspecified role and Butch Patrick (not reprising his Eddie role) appearing as the Tin Can Man.

The rest of the ensemble includes Richard Brake, Sylvester McCoy, Jorge Garcia, Cassandra Peterson, Catherine Schell, Tomas Boykin, Jeremy Wheeler and Dee Wallace.
