This is a $100-million-dollar pizza joint.
Five Nights at Freddy’s–already a day-and-date record-setter on Peacock–continued its strong box office run in its second weekend, according to a report on Deadline.
The film adaptation of the horror video game led the domestic box office again, pulling in another $19.4 million from 3,800 theaters this weekend, bringing the movie’s domestic take to nearly $114 million so far.
The feature–directed by Emma Tammi from a screenplay she wrote with game creator Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback–follows the travails of Mike Schmidt (John Hutcherson), a night security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. You see, he just found out that the animatronic animals in the pizza parlor are a lot scarier at night.
Rounding out the cast are Matthew Lillard, Mary Stuart Masterson, Elizabeth Lail and Kat Conner Sterling.
