Who can resist a cool pizza parlor?
Five Nights at Freddy’s–the Blumhouse adaptation of the horror video game–had a scary good Thursday box office preview (despite also hitting Peacock last evening), raking in an estimated $10 million, according to a report on Deadline.
The film–which is projected to earn around $50 million this weekend–is directed by Emma Tammi from a screenplay she wrote with game creator Scot Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback.
In the movie, Mike Schmidt (John Hutcherson), a night security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, finds out he has a very dangerous job–as the place’s animatronic beasties come to violent life at night.
Rounding out the cast are Matthew Lillard, Mary Stuart Masterson, Elizabeth Lail and Kat Conner Sterling.
