One more for pizza night.
Kat Conner Sterling (The Gifted) has signed on for the big screen adaptation of the horror video game Five Nights at Freddy’s, according to a report on Deadline. No details on Sterling’s role were immediately revealed.
The Blumhouse Productions horror pic–which continues to shoot in New Orleans–also stars Matthew Lillard, Josh Hutcherson and Mary Stuart Masterson.
The feature–produced by Jason Blum–is directed by Emma Tammi from a screenplay she wrote with game creator Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback. No release window has yet been announced.
The video game follows a night security guard who starts working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza–but who begins to regret his career choice when the usually cuddly animatronic animals that amuse kids during the day become something else at night. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop is bringing those animatronic creatures to fearsome life.
