“You send that thing back to hell.”

Just yesterday, a new image dropped from The Nun 2–the sequel to the 2018 The Conjuring franchise entry–and now the first trailer has arrived. Check out the frightening video on this page.

Directed by Michael Chavez from a screenplay by Akela Cooper, the horror pic stars Taissa Farmiga (reprising her role as Sister Irene), Bonnie Aarons (returning as the demon Valak) and Storm Reid. The film hits theaters Sept. 8, and soon after that, Bonnie Aarons will be a special guest at Connecticut HorrorFest.

The Nun 2–produced by James Wan and Peter Safran–is set in 1956 France, where “a spreading evil” forces Sister Irene to “once again come face-to-face with the demonic force of Valak.”

The original The Nun–from director Corin Hardy and screenwriter Gary Dauberman–follows a priest and a novice looking forward to taking her final vows who investigate the death of a young nun in 1952 Romania. And, in so doing, they confront “a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.”
