“There’s something wrong with this place.”
A new Peacock Original–John Carpenter’s Suburban Screams–will hit the small screen in a month, with horror legend Carpenter himself directing one of the anthology episodes. Check out the trailer for the show on this page.
The new, unscripted horror anthology–landing on Peacock Oct. 13–was filmed in Prague, Carpenter said. “I sat on my couch to direct my episode,” he added. “It was awesome.”
The series “explores the dark secrets and unspeakable evil that sometimes lurks beneath the surface of the streets, lawns and neighbors of suburbia,” according to the synopsis. Each episode spotlights one tale of terror–told by real people who lived through the horrors.
The firsthand accounts are presented through news clips, home photos and archival footage–combining the visual language of horror films with the tools and techniques of documentaries.
Carpenter–as all horror and film fans know–is the visionary behind such genre classics as Halloween, The Thing, The Fog, Christine and They Live.
