The Portrait–a new psychological horror feature–this week revealed a first-look teaser. Check out the video–on Deadline.
The film–which does not yet have a release date–is helmed by Simon Ross (in his feature directorial debut) from a screenplay by David Griffiths (The Hunted).
The cast includes Natalia Cordova-Buckley (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), Oscar nominee Virginia Madsen (Candyman), Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Saved By The Bell) and Isidora Goreshter (Shameless).
In The Portrait, after her husband is devastated by a tragic accident, a wife “obsesses over a mysterious portrait that resembles him as he was,” according to the synopsis. But, when the painting starts to terrorize her, “she must decide if it’s possessed–or if she’s losing her mind.”
Oliver Brown, Keith Haviland and Ross serve as executive producers.
