First Promo of ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Released

The first promo of ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ aired last night during the season finale of ‘The Walking Dead’.  The companion series, which is a prequel to the original, is set in Los Angeles and and will focus on different storylines and new characters. It takes place at the start of the apocalypse and stars Cliff Curtis as Sean Cabera, a teacher who shares custody of his son with his ex-wife. Kim Dickens co-stars as Nancy Tomkins, a guidance counselor who is dating Sean.  Frank Dillane plays Nancy’s son Nick, who has had a past drug problem.  Alycia Debnam Carey plays Nancy’s daughter Ashley, who is very different from her brother, with big ambitions, and dreams of traveling to Berkley when the apocalypse begins.  ‘The Walking Dead’ producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert are executive producing.  Dave Erickson is the showrunner and executive producer. Erickson and Kirkman co-created and co-wrote the pilot. The first season of the series will air in late summer and have six episodes. Season 2 will be a regular size and air in 2016.
