First-Look Images Arrive For Upcoming ‘Lisa Frankenstein’

What would Boris Karloff think?

A modern (and decidedly different) take on the iconic Mary Shelley supernatural horror tale, Lisa Frankenstein will hit theaters early next year, and now a couple of first-look images have been dropped by Entertainment Weekly.

The horror-comedy–from first-time director Zelda Williams and screenwriter Diablo Cody (Jennifer’s Body)–is slated for a theatrical release Feb. 9, 2024.

Starring Cole Sprouse as the “monster”, Kathryn Newton, Carla Gugino, Joe Chrest, Henry Eikenberry and Liza Soberano, the film follows an unpopular high school girl in 1989 who accidentally re-animates a handsome Victorian corpse during a lightning storm.

The teenager then “starts to rebuild the corpse into the man of her dreams–using the broken tanning bed in her garage.” Why would that even work?
