It’s almost time for another go-round with The Creep. You can almost feel the goosebumps already.
Shudder will unwrap the third season of the popular horror anthology Creepshow Sept. 23, as reported by comicbook.com, with new episodes airing every Thursday thereafter right up until Halloween. And, to get fans in the proper mood, several new images from Season 3–check them out below–have been unveiled.
Showrunner Greg Nicotero dropped a few hints regarding the upcoming season, saying that “every episode is very different. I wrote a bunch of them, and directed a lot of them.” He also confirmed that an adaptation of Joe Hill’s story Mums will appear in Season 3.
In addition, some of the featured actors were announced. Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead), James Remar (Dexter), Johnathon Schaech (Prom Night), Reid Scott (Venom) and Hannah Fierman (V/H/S) will appear in various episodes.
Creepshow draws inspiration from the 1982 horror anthology feature film from two people reasonably familiar to fans of terror tales–director George A. Romero and writer Stephen King. That movie–an homage to the EC horror comics of the 1950s–stars Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Fritz Weaver, Leslie Nielsen and King himself.
