First Clip Arrives For Horror Feature ‘Perpetrator’

by Thomas Tuna

The hunt is on.

Perpetrator–a new horror pic that recently debuted at the Berlin International Film Festival–will land on Shudder later this year (stay tuned for an exact date), and a teaser has now dropped. Check out the clip over at Deadline.

The feature–written and directed by Jennifer Reeder–stars Kiah McKirnan (Mare of Easttown), Alicia Silverstone (The Lodge), Christopher Lowell (My Best Friend’s Exorcism), Melanie Liburd (The Idol) and Ireon Roach (Candyman).

Perpetrator–produced by Gregory Chambet and Derek Bishe–follows Jonny Baptiste (McKirnan), a reckless teen sent to live with her estranged Aunt Hildie (Silverstone), according to the updated synopsis.

On her 18th birthday, Jonny experiences “a radical metamorphosis–a family spell called Forevering that redefines her. And, when several teenage girls go missing at her new school, a mythically feral Jonny goes after the perpetrator.”
