Final Trailer Arrives For ‘Insidious: The Red Door’

by Thomas Tuna

“It’s not the house that’s haunted…it’s your son.”

Insidious: The Red Door–the fifth (and presumably) last chapter in the horror film series–is only a month away now, and the final trailer dropped this week. Check out the teaser on this page.

The film–directed by star Patrick Wilson from a screenplay by Scott Teems (Halloween Kills)–lands in theaters July 7, with Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins, Sinclair Daniel, Peter Dager and Hiam Abbass rounding out the cast. James Wan serves as producer.

The Red Door picks up 10 years after the second film in the franchise, as Josh Lambert (Wilson) and a college-bound Dalton (Simpkins) “must go deeper into The Further than ever before in order to put their demons to rest once and for all,” according to the synopsis.

The original 2010 Insidious–directed by Wan from a screenplay by Leigh Whannell–follows a couple whose son falls into a comatose state–becoming a vessel for entities in the dimension known as The Further.
