Final Thunderous Trailer Drops For ‘Godzilla: Minus One’

by Thomas Tuna

It’s time to feel sorry–very sorry–for Tokyo.

Godzilla: Minus One–the latest solo outing for the oversized kaiju–crashed onto our shores yesterday, and one final trailer has dropped to preview the iconic monster’s destructive rampages. Check out the video on this page.

The PG-13 Soho Inc. entry–from writer/director Takahashi Yamazaki–is the 33rd Japanese-language film in the Godzilla franchise–and the 37th overall.

The feature–set in post-war Japan–shows that Godzilla hasn’t lost his touch when it comes to wreaking havoc on major cities. This new version of the kaiju shows he’s “a terrifying and overwhelming force,” according to Toho president Koji Ueda.

The original 1954 Godzilla–from filmmaker Ishiro Honda–follows Japanese authorities as they hustle to cope with the sudden appearance of the monstrous lizard–whose attacks trigger fear of a nuclear holocaust.
