Oscar-nominated actor Felicity Jones is about to add horror to her portfolio.
Jones–best known for her roles in The Theory of Everything and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story–will headline and produce the upcoming horror flick Blood Mother for New Regency, according to a report on Deadline.
Another of the film’s producers–Kelly Marcel–already has a successful genre background. Marcel wrote the screenplay for the monster hit Venom: Let There Be Carnage (which recently delivered the year’s biggest domestic box office debut).
Blood Mother–written by Steve Zissis and based on an original story by Marcel and Zissis–follows an Oxford professor who discovers her baby is inhuman and finds herself doing “the unimaginable to keep him alive,” according to the official synopsis.
Little else is known about the film at this point–including the choice of director–so keep reading Horror News Network for further updates on Blood Mother.
