Horror fans will be able to fear the Walkers for at least one more season.
Fear the Walking Dead–the popular The Walking Dead spinoff–will shamble into an eighth season on AMC, according to a report on Deadline. The first half of Season 7 just concluded, with the second half slated to debut Apr. 17, 2022. Check out the teaser for Part 2 of the current season on this page.
In addition, Season 8–which does not yet have a debut date–will see the return of fan-favorite Madison Clark (played by Kim Dickens), who was a regular in the first four seasons of Fear TWD.
“Madison Clark is a foundational character to TWDU,” said Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer of The Walking Dead Universe. “She’s heroic, complex, an everyperson who becomes a warrior and then a force for benevolence.”
In the second half of Season 7, as was explained, months have passed since the nuclear blast, and the only one thriving is Victor Strand (Colman Domingo). “Having built a fiefdom, he callously selects who will have a chance at life,” according to the official synopsis.
Fear the Walking Dead–led by showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg–also stars John Glover, Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Danay Garcia, Jenna Elfman, Karen David, Ruben Blades, Austen Amelio, Christine Evangelista, Mo Collins, Keith Carradine, Sydney Lemmon and Gus Halper.
