Go through everything with Joel and Ellie all over again.
The Last of Us–the hit HBO adaptation of the Naughty Dog video game–is looking ahead to Season 2, but fans can also enjoy all the trials and tribulations of the just-completed first season in less than a month.
The Last of Us: The Complete First Season will be available on digital starting April 11, with a 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD version out July 18.
Special treats on the digital version include such behind-the-scenes featurettes as The Last of Us: Stranger Than Fiction (a discussion about the likelihood of a fungus creating a post-apocalyptic disaster), Controllers Down (focusing on adapting the show from console to screen) and From Levels to Live Action (highlighting how the show incorporated and expanded game moments in the series).
As for Season 2, shooting is expected to start before the end of the year (according to hints dropped by star Pedro Pascal), but no release window on HBO has been announced. The next season reportedly will draw from the game’s 2020 sequel, The Last of Us Part II.
