According to Deadline, CBS has ordered a pilot for the religion-themed supernatural show Evil. The series comes from Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award-nominated writer/producers Robert and Michelle King who are best known for their series In Justice, The Good Wife and BrainDead. Evil is said to be about the battle between science and religion. The supernatural drama centers around a skeptical female clinical psychologist, a priest-in-training and a blue-collar contractor as they investigate the paranormal and other extraordinary occurrences to see if there’s a scientific explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work.
The Kings have become quite the power couple in Hollywood as they have been married for over 30 years while working together for over 20 years.
“Robert and Michelle are two of the finest persons I have ever had the privilege of working with,” said David Stapf, President, CBS Television Studios. “Their brilliant writing and ability to create distinctive, successful television is only surpassed by their quality as people. Everyone at CBS TV Studios is thrilled and very proud to be working with them, Liz and their team for many more years.”
There is currently no release date set for the pilot. Keep it tuned to Horror News Network for the latest on Evil.
