The dead don’t show a lot of life after a full month.
Evil Dead Rise is starting to slow down at the box office in its fourth weekend, placing fourth in the domestic race and earning $2 million less than last weekend, according to a report on Deadline.
This latest installment in the horror franchise–already the highest-grossing Evil Dead entry–earned $3.7 million this weekend from 2,800 theaters, bringing its domestic total so far to $60 million. Globally, the film has earned more than $100 million.
Evil Dead Rise–written and directed by Lee Cronin–follows Beth (Lily Sullivan) when she visits her older sister Ellie (Alyssa Sutherland) in Los Angeles. But the trip turns dark when the sisters discover a mysterious book hidden in Ellie’s building–a book that unleashes an army of demons that forces Beth to fight for her very life.
