Global warming kicked up a notch.
Lee Cronin–who’s waiting for his Evil Dead Rise feature to hit theaters April 21–already has his next horror project for New Line Cinema, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The new horror pic–Thaw–will be written and directed by Cronin, who will rewrite the original script by Jeremy Passmore–who developed the project on spec for Gunpowder & Sky.
The film’s producers include Van Toffler, David Gale and Adam Goldworm.
Thaw–set years after the polar ice caps have melted and sea levels have risen–follows a group of survivors at sea, searching for a new home. One day, they discover an inhabitable town–but that’s where they encounter “a new nightmare living just below the water’s surface,” according to the synopsis.
