The PG-rated sequel follows six people “unwittingly locked in another series of escape rooms, slowly uncovering what they have in common to survive–and discovering they’ve all played the game before,” according to the official synopsis.
The Sony Pictures film–from returning director Adam Robitel and screenwriters Maria Melnik, Will Honley, Oren Uziel and Daniel Tuch–will feature Logan Miller and Taylor Russell reprising their roles from the original. Joining them in the cast are Holland Roden, Indya Moore, Thomas Cocquerel, Carlito Olivero and Isabelle Fuhrman.
The original Escape Room told the terrifying story of six other strangers trapped in “a maze of deadly mystery rooms.” In order to see another day, they must “use their wits to survive a sadistic game of life and death.” Horror fans loved the premise.
