Thrills and chills are on the way for the new year.
Alone at Night--an erotic slasher film from Vertical Entertainment–will land in theaters early next year, according to a report on Deadline. Check out the first-look image from the film on this page.
The horror pic–directed by Jimmy Giannopoulos from a screenplay he wrote with Diomedes Raul Bermudez–is scheduled for a day-and-date release on Jan. 20, 2023.
Alone at Night follows Vicky (Ashley Benson), a young woman who retreats to a friend’s remote cabin in the woods while continuing to model sexy lingerie on the live-streaming website 18 & Over, according to the synopsis.
But, when the power goes out. Vicky discovers “something terrifying awaiting her in the dark–a masked killer with a menacing crowbar who’s hellbent on bringing her night to a grisly end.”
The cast also includes Pamela Anderson, Luis Guzman, Paris Hilton, Lindsey Pelas, John Robinson, Cassius Corrigan and Sky Ferreira.
Giannopoulos said he wanted to make a “slasher, stoner, sexy thriller with killer music that plays on the nostalgia of my favorite B-horror films. Though the themes of isolation and obsession are as old as time, culture always breeds new ways for them to manifest. You can isolate, but you can’t hide.”
