The nightmares of From will continue.
Epix is bringing back the horror-s/f series for another 10-episode season, according to a report on Deadline, with Season 2 expected to start shooting over the summer in Halifax, Nova Scotia–with an eye towards a 2023 debut.
From–which deals with a nightmarish town that traps all who dare enter it–reportedly is on pace to become Epix’s second most-watched original series, behind only the Emmy Award-winning Godfather of Harlem.
In Season 2, “hidden truths about the nature and terrifying origins of the town begin to emerge,” according to the synopsis, “even as life for its residents is plunged into chaos by the arrival of mysterious newcomers.”
From–created and written by John Griffin–stars Harold Perrineau, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster, Ricky He, Chloe Van Landschoot, Corteon Moore, Pegah Ghafoori, David Alpay, Elizabeth Saunders, Elizabeth Moy and Avery Konrad.
Epix president Michael Wright praised the show’s first season, saying it “mystified, enthralled and terrified fans with its haunting world, vivid characters and thrilling scares. We can’t wait to unravel more of this mysterious story in Season 2.”
