Singular Point–directed by Atsushi Takahashi–was made possible through a collaboration between Studio Bones and Studio Orange. The 13-episode event, as explained, is “an all-new animated TV series that marks the beginning of a new project for Godzilla.”
The anime series tells “a new and original story unlike anything seen in the Godzilla franchise before.” Just when the Big Guy was looking to rest up from trading blows with King Kong!
The official synopsis goes on to say that “when danger comes up from the depths, only young geniuses Mei, Yun and their team can face the threat.” Better them than us.
Singular Point–which combines hand-drawn and CGI animation styles–will also feature the talents of composer Kan Sawada, editor/writer Toh Enjoe, character designer Kazue Kato and animator Eiji Yamamori.
