Here’s a pairing made in Halloween heaven.
The legendary Mistress of the Dark Elvira (actually her alter-ego Cassandra Peterson) will headline Joe Bob Briggs’ The Last Drive-In: Joe Bob’s Haunted Halloween Hangout this Friday, Oct. 21 live on Shudder. Check out the brief teaser for the eerie event on this page.
As seen in the clip, it seems that Peterson will appear as herself on this special, but it’s hard to believe Elvira won’t show up in some form before the night is over. Fans can only hope.
Shudder seems to be the perfect venue for this team-up, as the streamer helped revive Briggs back in 2018 with his 24-hour The Last Drive-In marathon and also hosted Elvira’s four-film marathon last year that celebrated her 40th anniversary.
As always, Briggs will present one or more creepy horror films during the evening, but no clue has been dropped as to what he and Peterson are cooking up.
