by Rob Caprilozzi

Eli Roth’s Crypt TV, in association with Blumhouse, has added more players to the cast of its Hindi horror film Chhori. Mita Vashisht, Rajesh Jais and Saurabh Goyal have signed on to join the stunning Nushrat Bharucha in the film, according to a report on Deadline.

While not much is known about the film at this time, we do know that it is being described as “A blend of horror and social drama, telling the story of age-old societal beliefs and practices that give rise to tales of terror.” The film is a remake of Vishal Furia’s Lapachhapi, which told the story of “A woman that is eight-months pregnant who, along with her husband, seeks shelter in a house hidden inside a sugarcane field. But the fields are ridden with secrets of the past, which start unraveling, posing a threat to the mother and her unborn child.” Lapachhapi won several awards including the Spirit Award at the 2016 Brooklyn International Film Festival.
