Eli Roth Hosts ‘A Ghost Ruined My Life’ Podcast Next Week

by Thomas Tuna

This is one horror event that truly has a ghost of a chance.

The discovery+ series A Ghost Ruined My Life is spinning off into an eight-part podcast series, with horror maven Eli Roth as host, starting March 11. Check out the video–courtesy of comicbook.com–on this page that explains the nuts and bolts of the podcast.

A Ghost Ruined My Life with Eli Roth–available on Apple, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts–will “share shocking true stories of hauntings that have left emotional–and sometimes physical–scars on those unlucky enough to have experienced them,” according to the podcast’s logline.

Listeners will hear “the terrifying first-person stories of hauntings”–hand-picked by Roth–“from confrontations with ghosts and demons to dark entities and poltergeists.” Each 30-minute episode, Roth said, plays out as a “mini-horror film” that deals with the real-life worlds of people “dragged through hell and back.”

When discussing the original series and the podcast, Roth said he was “shocked to see how many people experience this phenomenon. It’s no joke–these people’s lives were ruined by a ghost. It’s a fascinating subject that I’ve never before seen explored in a series.”

An accomplished director and producer, Roth is perhaps best known to genre fans for his films Cabin Fever (2003) and Hostel (2005).
