It always worse when horror comes home.
The Front Room–a new psychological horror flick from A24–has its cast together and is moving forward, according to a report on Deadline.
The new film–which doesn’t yet have a release window–is the feature film directorial debut of Max Eggers (who co-wrote The Lighthouse) and Sam Eggers (who co-wrote the documentary Olympia). The Eggers Brothers also wrote the screenplay, based on Susan Hill’s short story of the same name.
Starring Brandy Norwood (I Still Know What You Did Last Summer), Kathryn Hunter (The Tragedy of Macbeth), Andrew Burnap (Snow White) and Neal Huff (Waves), The Front Room follows “a young, newly pregnant couple forced to take on an ailing stepmother who has long been estranged from the family,” according to the brief logline.
A24–which will finance and distribute the film–will produce along with Lucan Toh, Babak Anvari and Bryan Sonderman of Two & Two Pictures and Julia Oh and David Hinojosa of 2AM.
