In a recent interview with Empire Online, writer/director Edgar Wright spilled the beans on his latest feature and lucky for genre fans it’s horror! The award-winning creator went on to say that his next film will be psychological horror-thriller citing Don’t Look Now and Roman Polanski’s Repulsion as influences.
In 2004 Wright released the horror comedy Shaun of the Dead which starred Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The film was a hit with both fans and critics alike and earned $30 million at the box office. The trio would reunite in 2007 with the buddy cop film Hot Fuzz and once again in 2013 with the science fiction film The World’s End.
In 2015 Wright had his most high-profile gig yet, writing the super hero movie Ant-Man for Marvel Studios. In 2017 he released the star-studded Baby Driver which featured Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, and Jon Bernthal.
