Ed Gein Graphic Novel Coming From Harold Schechter and Eric Powell

A new graphic novel focusing on the life of one of the most notoriously deranged murderers in American history, Ed Gein, is in the works from true-crime author, Harold Schechter (DeviantThe Serial Killer FilesHell’s Princess) and Eisner Award–winning comic creator Eric Powell (The GoonBig Man PlansHillbilly). Did You Hear What Eddie Gein Done? is an in-depth exploration of the Gein family and what led to the creation of the necrophile who haunted the dreams of 1950s America and inspired such films as PsychoThe Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Silence of the Lambs.

The graphic novel is said to take the Gein story out of the realms of exploitation and gives the reader a fact-based dramatization of these tragic, heartbreaking and psychotic events.

The project is currently on Kickstarter by Albatross Exploding Funnybooks. With over  a month to go, the project currently sits at $22,216 of their $36,000 goal.
