Donal Logue Joins 2021 ‘Resident Evil’ Film

Seasoned actor, Donal Logue is the latest actor to step into Raccoon City for the Johannes Roberts-helmed origin story from the Resident Evil world. Logue will play Chief Brian Irons, head of the Raccoon City Police. Logue joins fellow thespians Kaya Scodelario (who will play Claire Redfield), Hannah John-Kamen (Jill Valentine), Tom Hopper (Albert Wesker), Robbie Amell (Chris Redfield), Neal McDonough (Dr. Birkin), and Avan Jogia (Leon Kennedy) as the film eyes a 2021 release.

Lily Gao who is known for her roles in Rabid, The Expanse and The Handmaid’s Tale has also joined Resident Evil along with Chad Rook who has had past roles in The 100, Siren, The Terror, Supernatural and War for the Planet of the Apes.

The story is said to have faithful ties to Capcom’s horror game series and will be set in 1998 in the fictional town of Raccoon City.

The first Resident Evil franchise of films starred Milla Jovovich and collected over $1.2 billion at the box office.
