“Rachel Hyde at your service.”
Doctor Jekyll–a modern (and altogether different) vision of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic 1886 Gothic novella–enjoyed a premiere at the recent FrightFest before heading to UK theaters later this month.
The Hammer Studios film–hitting the big screen Oct. 27–is directed by Joe Stephenson from a screenplay by Dan Kelly-Mulhern.
In the feature, the reclusive Dr. Nina Jekyll (Eddie Izzard) tries to separate a person’s good and evil sides, and “finds friendship with newly hired help Rob (Scott Chambers)–with the pair working together to prevent Rachel Hyde from destroying her life.”
Rounding out the cast are Morgan Watkins, Lindsay Duncan, Simon Callow, Jonathan Hyde, Tony Jayawardena and Robyn Cara.
