The street has more scares up ahead.
Netflix last summer aired three movies based on R.L. Stine’s popular YA horror Fear Street series, and now word comes that a fourth film is on the way, according to a report on Above the Line.
Filmmaker Chloe Okuno (Watcher) has signed on to direct the new horror pic, with Chernin Entertainment returning to produce the film.
It’s not known at this time if Leigh Janiak–who helmed the original 2021 trilogy–will contribute in any way to this new feature–or even if this will be a single, standalone project or a series of Netflix films.
“One of the exciting things about Fear Street,” Janiak said last year, “is that the universe is big and allows for a lot of space. We have the potential here to create a horror Marvel Cinematic Universe, where you can have slasher killers from lots of different eras.”
