Death obviously becomes him.
Devon Sawa–who fell victim to the killer doll (twice) as his twin brother characters in Season 1 of Chucky–will return for the second season of the hit USA and Syfy series, according to a report in Entertainment Weekly. But, this time, he’ll play a new, unannounced character.
Sawa–whose other horror credits include roles in Final Destination and Black Friday–spoke glowingly about the Chucky series. “Chucky really has been phenomenal,” he said. “This is something that’s nostalgic to me–it means a lot to me. I want to go to work and have fun, and that’s why I do these things.”
Sawa will join returning actors Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Zackary Arthur, Bjorgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise and Barbara Alyn Woods for the second season of Chucky, which is now in production. The show is expected to debut on USA and Syfy this fall.
Chucky is, of course, a spinoff of the Child’s Play film franchise. The show’s first season began when a vintage Chucky doll was found at a garage sale–an event that kicked off a series of horrifying murders.
The original 1988 Child’s Play–directed by Tom Holland from a screenplay he wrote with Don Mancini and John Lafia–spawned six sequels, a 2019 reboot, comic books, video games and a ton of collectibles.
