Deon Taylor to Direct Akuma

Writer-director Deon Taylor is on board to direct Akuma. He will also produce through his production outfit Hidden Empire Film Group. Co-written by Blayne Weaver and Joe Bockol, the movie follows a young Japanese woman, Akira, who is looking to put her life back together. As she pushes hard to overcome these problems she soon realizes that she’s fighting something very dark. “Akuma” is Japanese for “demon” (not to be confused with the Street Fighter character). Shooting begins in November 2011 in Los Angeles, Sacramento, Japan and San Francisco.
