The curses are really streaming now.
It was just last weekend that Horror News Network reported that a long-awaited second season of Shudder’s Cursed Films was in the works, and now, word comes from comicbook.com of the new season’s debut date and the genre films to be examined.
Season 2 of Cursed Films–from writer/director Jay Cheel–will start streaming on Shudder April 7, and will look into the curses that supposedly afflicted Rosemary’s Baby, Stalker, The Serpent and the Rainbow, Cannibal Holocaust and the all-time classic The Wizard of Oz.
The series–which debuted on Shudder back in 2020–sets out to “explore the myths and legends behind some of Hollywood’s notoriously ‘cursed’ horror film productions.” The show seeks the truth through interviews with experts and witnesses, as well as with the cast and directors who were there.
The first season took a close look at the strange circumstances surrounding Poltergeist, The Crow, Twilight Zone: The Movie, The Exorcist and The Omen. The show was met with mixed to positive reviews.
